As guests of The St. Regis Bali, you will encounter the most enriching experiences and unforgettable adventures during this full-day privately guided tour. Begin this Aficionado experience with an introduction to your guide over breakfast. Agus Cahyadi, a Bali native who was born near the surf breaks of Kuta Beach, studied Hospitality Management in Australia and has devoted his career to ensuring visitors experience the best of Bali’s unique culture and environment. Your day will continue with an exploration of secluded beaches where you will learn about the geological history and coastal processes that shape Bali. A personalized surfing or paddle boarding lesson can be provided by one of Bali’s top surfers, Betet or Wayan Widiarta. Following this, visit one of the most interesting local markets and important cultural sites on the Bukit Peninsula.
After a traditional lunch at one of the more famous, yet obscure, Warung for local Balinese, venture inland for a short hike to a spectacular set of waterfalls. Along the way you will learn more about the local ecosystem, its flora and fauna, and the country’s deep cultural connection to it. Then, relish a hands-on creative experience where you can all learn the fine art of batik, gamelan music, and/or woodcraft taught by some of the country’s top artists. Sample the freshest local fruit you will ever taste and journey back to The St. Regis Bali, where you can relax and unwind prior to attending the hotel’s renowned rijsttafel at Dulang restaurant.
