For a truly relaxing afternoon amid 14 acres of natural woodlands and winding ravines, The St. Regis Houston welcomes guests to join the Curator of Gardens or a senior member of the team for an exclusive tour of Bayou Bend Gardens. The gardens reflect Bayou Bend founder Ima Hogg’s love of beauty, flowers and natural woodlands as well as the Country Place Era of landscape design popular in America in the early 20th century. During this tour, take note of the formal garden’s classical Greek mythology themes, and how they complement the classical architecture of the mansion. The Bayou Bend garden expert will provide a curated tour sharing interesting stories about the history and horticulture, as well as offering insider tips on how to care for the flowers, plants, or trees in guests’ own gardens. Upon returning to the hotel, guests will be able to enjoy the signature St. Regis Afternoon Tea.
